How to Connect Apple AirPods to Chromebook
As you may well know, Apple AirPods are specially designed to pair only with Apple products such as the iPhone and MacBook. It is a very beautiful product and you may want to use it, on another device aside the ones listed above. Today I will show you, how you can connect and use the Airpod with your Chromebook, a non apple product.
While Airpods are Apple product, it can also be used on a non-Apple device, such as a Google Chromebook. This involves a simple process and you can enjoy your AirPods with your Chromebook via Bluetooth. Before showing you how to do this, here is a brief history about the Airpods.
About Apple Airpod?
The Apple AirPod was released back in 2016 as an accessory to the iPhone 7. This was the first time, an iPhone came without a headphone jack. It was not only useable on the iPhone, but can also be connected to Apple TV, as well as have Siri read a text message or let the user know who is calling them.
The beauty and features of the device made it a hit, as Apple reportedly sold close to 60 million pairs just in 2019 alone. The AirPod comes with a charging case that allows them to be charged wirelessly.
How to Connect Apple AirPods to a Chromebook
It is very important to note that before connecting the AirPods to a Chromebook, you should close any music or video apps on your iPhone or other Apple devices. This is because being mid-playback while connected to an Apple device may cause problems when pairing AirPods with a Chromebook.
To connect your devices, start by switching on the Bluetooth.
- Go to the Chromebook screen, and then select the Menu option. It is the network icon at the lower-right corner of the screen next to the battery percentage and digital clock. This menu displays options for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, notifications, and more.
- Select Bluetooth and turn on the Bluetooth connection if it’s off. Once Bluetooth is on, the Chromebook automatically searches for wireless devices.
Note: If the AirPods don’t automatically appear on the Chromebook’s Bluetooth list, press and hold the Setup button on the back of the AirPods case. The AirPods should soon be detected
Next step is to go to the Bluetooth Available Devices list and select the AirPods. Confirm any prompts that appear on the Chromebook.
