How to Restart an iPhone 13

Do you own an iPhone 13 or any of the 13 series and you are looking for a way to restart the phone. Restarting is very essential when troubleshooting a device. If you are here and reading this article, then you should know that we are about to show you three ways you can easily restart your iPhone 13 device. To see how, continue reading below.

How Restart an iPhone 13 with Hardware Buttons?

To restart an iPhone using buttons on the device itself, you’ll need to first shut it down. To do so, press and hold the Side button (on the right edge of your iPhone) and the Volume Up button (on the left side). Keep holding the two buttons, and after a moment, you’ll see a “Slide to Power Off” slider appear on the screen. To turn off your iPhone 13, swipe the circle in the slider to the right.

Next, you’ll need to turn your iPhone 13 on again. Press and hold the Side button (on the right edge of the iPhone) until you see an Apple logo in the center of the screen. After a moment, your iPhone will be ready to go.

How to Restart an iPhone 13 in Settings?

You can also trigger a restart by shutting down your iPhone through the Settings app. To get started, first launch Settings by tapping its gear icon.

When Settings opens, select “General.”

In “General,” scroll down to the very bottom and tap “Shut Down.”

Next, you’ll see a “Slide to Power Off” slider appear. Swipe it to the right.

Your iPhone 13 will turn off. To turn it back on, hold the Side button until you see an Apple logo on your screen.

How to Force Restart an iPhone 13?

If your iPhone 13 becomes unresponsive and won’t shut down or restart using any of the methods shown above, you can try a forced restart. A forced restart is a way to force the iPhone to power off and restart without the usual shutdown process. It should only be reserved for emergencies.

To perform a forced restart, you’ll need to press two buttons in quick succession, and then hold a third one. First, press the Volume Up button and release it, then press the Volume Down button and release it, then press and hold the Side button. Keep holding the Side button until you see an Apple logo on the screen. When the Apple logo appears, the iPhone has been restarted.

Note: It may take a while for the lock screen to come up as the iPhone performs its startup checks, but when it does, you can unlock and use your iPhone as usual. If it doesn’t work as usual, you may need to put your iPhone into recovery mode or contact Apple Customer Support.
